This postsecret really made me smile today. I just love the sheer honesty of it. And also the acknowledgement of oh my! Ah shit! Oh fuck! I love you. Haha…it’s like, okay let’s stop denying ourselves and playing the games and just…yeah.

I kind of have the feeling that I’m gonna be like this when I eventually one day far, far into the future maybe possibly one day fall in love. It’ll be a very “Oh fuck. I love you.” It’ll be an epiphany moment. And I’ll have to first admit it to myself and have a good long look in the mirror and be like, “Whelp, Heather, you’re in love. Get over it. Admit it. Go say it.” And then I’ll have to go tell the person. And that’ll be funny.

Heather: Hey uh, so um…Fuck. I love you.
Louie: (laughs) Thank you?
Heather: You’re welcome. Hey lets go watch a movie!
Louie: Oooh! Yeah! You have to pay though. As you’re so obviously in love with me.
Heather: I knew there was a downside.
Louie: I’ll get the popcorn and soda.
Heather: (laughs) Okay then.

So yeah, if you love someone you should definitely tell them when you’re ready. Hopefully that person makes you smile and laugh. Hopefully they take your breath away when you kiss. Not literally of course. That’d be bad. I hope you smile every morning that you get to wake up next to them. And miss them when you are apart. I hope that you still get butterflies and shivers when your other runs their fingers through your hair. I hope that you get to grow old with the love of your life. I hope that you get to sit on your porch underneath the stars and discuss art and life and when you were 28 and first met. I wish you all the best in the world with your love. May you find them and feel so passionate that you just want to say “Oh fuck. I love you.”
