I don’t even know…

I have no idea how I feel about this blog. I’m completely torn between keeping it and deleting it. I think it’s because I read things like this article and it just really creeps me out. To imagine, when you die, you leave all your cyber fingerprints on everything. That someone can trace you back, find the trail you’ve left out in the open, all those profiles and usernames and accounts we create. It just feels like sometimes there is just way too much of me out there. I just…don’t know.

Its the paranoid part in me that wants to delete all available data of myself from “the grid” and be independent of all this social media. But then the other optimistic part of me loves the idea of connecting with the world through all these amazing forms of communication we have available to us. I mean what’s not to love about the possibility of having your words, thoughts and pictures shared across the world?

Do any of you ever feel like this?

As of right now it looks like I will embrace the moment and blog. It’ll give me the chance to connect with all the lovely yous out there and share a little bit of my life. And on another more personal level, I think it’ll help motivate me, hold me accountable to the passing days.
