How awesome is my lovely friend Jamie? Way awesome=is the answer to that question. She’s a brilliant writer, artist and all around awesome lady. We survived undergrad together with sarcasm, snark, silliness, smiles and…soda.

For the holidays she sends personally illustrated adorable cards. How cute is this Valentine’s Day card? Way cute=is the answer to that question as well.

Today (the beginning of my work week) ended surprisingly well. After an…interesting…day at work, I rushed home, said hello to the family and then ran off into the big city for a play reading for my friend Jennae’s dads’ play. {It was an awesome play by the by!} My good friend Kristin co-owns her own theatre downtown so that’s where we held the play reading. It felt sooo good to do a play reading, let me tell you. I haven’t had one of those since college…almost five years ago!

After the play reading we took a stroll downtown to a yummy little cafe. When we walked in, all the tables were taken and it was oddly quiet. We took a seat at the bar and then Jennae proclaimed, “Oh! It’s Geeks Who Drink Night!” haha. That’s why it was so quiet. All the cute bar peeps were concentrating on their survey questions. As we enjoyed our drinks and a burger, we got to hear some ridiculously funny trivia questions. There was a segment entirely based off of the CSI: Miami scream and random movie audio clips. It was hilarious!

All in all, a great Tuesday night! Need to have many more like it.

PS-That last photo is of Jennae’s boyfriend Kurt (or Qurt as I call him). Isn’t it just so freakin’ funny? haha…makes me laugh…
