I was talking to my friend Alex this weekend about my insomnia and the whole inzombia thing and he called me the “unsleep.” How brilliant is that?! I never even thought to make that connection.
So, yup, I was the unsleep again this weekend, which I knew to expect cause of the full moon. I was talking to my Grandma Lady and she said that she loves the moon and that it calls her name when its all full and shining down upon us. So, maybe that’s where I get my werewolf/zombie reaction?
I had a really great weekend. It was jam packed with all kinds of happenings!
First, I went ice skating for the very first time with my sister Melanie!
I was doing so well and was getting all arrogant cause I hadn’t fallen once in the hour we’d been skating and then BAM! I got tangled up and slid on down to the ice. Oddly, I kinda wanted to fall. I wanted to have the experience of falling on the cold ice. Weird, no? We did say “toe pick” a lot while skating. I just love me a Cutting Edge reference.
We got a couple of surprise visitors…
These two little guys have been hanging around the house for the past few days. I think someone just dumped them out in the country, poor guys. My sister Melanie said that they kind of look like Egyptian dogs. I think its the ears. They are real sweet and have been guarding the house, sleeping on the porch in front of the door and running around playing together. My Grandma named them Peter and Paul. I’m not sure if we’re gonna be able to keep them…but maybe! My sister has been calling around and emailing everyone to see if we can find them a home.
I made my very first digital short! Melanie helped me focus, edit and post it! I had so much fun! I will definitely be making as many shorts as I can fit into my free time. π
And lastly, my good friend Matt Livingston sent me a gorgeous picture of New York from a roof top party on Saturday night. I didn’t even realize that when he sent it, it was just moments away from September 11th. Such a gorgeous photo!
Welp, I hope you had yourself a lovely weekend! May the week ahead be full of excitement, relaxation and maybe a few happy surprises! π
